An Online Ayurvedic Cleanse
Spring 2023 April 18-26
Do you feel the change in the air? Are you experiencing tiredness, difficulty waking up in the morning, constipation, heavy, bloating, anxiety, depression, or lack of motivation?
As winter transitions to spring and people feel drawn to spending more time outdoors, consuming lighter meals, and shedding any excesses accumulated during the colder months, it can be an opportune time to consider an Ayurvedic spring cleanse.
During winter, it is appropriate to eat dense, heavy, and moist foods because these qualities help to keep the body warm and nourished. However, during spring, the qualities of kapha dosha (earth and water elements) dominates, which can lead to heaviness, lethargy, and sluggishness if not balanced properly. Therefore, it is recommended to focus on foods that are light, warm, dry, bitter, and astringent to counterbalance these qualities.
A classic Ayurvedic cleanse often consists of kitchari, which is a traditional Indian dish made from rice, mung beans, and spices. Kitchari is considered to be a complete protein, easy to digest, and gentle on the digestive system. It is also known to help remove toxins from the body, improve digestion, and boost immunity.
Our body works hard every day, digesting food, eliminating any harmful substances, processing all kinds of inputs but these days we are more exposed to toxics like: environment toxic, processed foods, drugs, skincare toxic, work environment, unresolved emotions and stress.
There is something that we can do about it to give our body a break by eating less toxic food, resting, applying massage with simple actions and as results of these actions we can help our body to do a very deep cleansing.
Ayurvedic cleansing is considered a lifestyle practices which indues strength, energy, clarity, boosts immunity and joy. It improves AGNI (the metabolic fire) throughout the body by resting and purifying the digestive system. In Ayurveda balancing AGNI it’s most important way in achieving optimal health.
